Kidwash

I’m sure you have seen it on Pinterest (what an awesome site) and all over the blogasphere.  I saw them popping up all over and knew the kids would love one. So I showed the pictures to hubby and mentioned how cool it would be. Of course being the handyman he is, and the good dad he’s trying to be (he’s working on it), he with some help from C, made the kids their very own  kid wash. It’s fast become a neighborhood hit. C places it out on the sidewalk and all the neighborhood kids ride their bikes back and forth underneath it. I can’t blame them, it’s hot. My water bill on the other hand.. well we won’t talk about that.\

I don’t know exactly what is in it or how to build it, if you google kid wash there are 1001 sites with instructions. These are the instructions that sparked ours. I know it is nothing more than PVC pipe, PVC glue and the fitting for a hose to be able to hook onto it. I think ours cost about $30 but again I’m not sure. I turn my head when it comes to hubby and his projects.

The kids love it, if you have the space and don’t mind the water bill.

  1. This is a really great idea. I am going to build it with my boys tomorrow. I was just wondering if I was right when I compare yours to the instruction site you linked to that the top of your kids is bigger. Did your husband come up with the add on himself?
Thank you for sharing so many great ideas.
